Browsing all your images in ACDSee is quick and easy. But what happens when you find a photo and you want to edit that photo in your editor?
Here are a few ways:
- The first method is to manually open your editor, then drag and drop that image from ACDSee into your editor. This is definitely not the quickest way if your editor isn’t open yet. If my editor is open, then I often do this method since I work on dual monitors and ACDSee is open on one screen and my editor is open on the other!
- The second method is configuring your editor so ACDSee knows which editors you use. Once you “send” the image to your editor (see step 7 below), it will start your editor if isn’t already open making it a very quick and easy.
- Go to Tools | Open in Editor | Configure Editors…
- Select Add…

- Browse for the editor’s exe you want to add and then name it appropriately.
- Once done, select the editor you just added and check the green box Supports Multiple Images if your editor can open more than one image at a time. (Most can.)
- Then from the list, select the main one you would like to use and click on Set as Default
- Click OK
- Once your editor is configured, from now on you can select an image or multiple images and either do Edit Image in the toolbar or use the shortcut key Ctrl – E to send the image to your editor!
