ACDSee shows your images but you can customize the thumbnails to give you a lot more information. Some examples:
Here is the default where you see the image and filename:
Here are the same images with customized thumbnails:
Here’s how to do it:
- go to Tools | Options
- Click on File List | Thumbnail Info tabs
- select Choose Thumbnail Info…
- On the left side select the boxes from Available Details on fields that you would like to see on your thumbnail. Once you have chosen them all, click on Add –>.
- You can arrange the order of the items and when you are satisfied, click on OK.
- On this screen if you don’t want to see the filename, you can uncheck File name.
- Click on OK again.
In the above example, I chose ACD Database Author and ACD Database Caption. When I organize my digital scrapbooking kits, the digital designer of the images is placed in the Author field and the digital kit name is placed in the Captions field.
If you organize images, you can add photo information to the thumbnails.
In this example, I chose EXIF: Image Date/time original and EXIF: Camera: Model.
Now you should have your own customized thumbnails.
