I installed Windows 7 today. In testing ACDSEE pro 3.0, the Search Option stopped functioning. I tried reinstalling the program, that didn't help. Any ideas?

Same problem here. Windows 7 64 bit ... search pane looks corrupted. Properties has no options.

I'm also having the same search problems with ACDSee under Win7 Home Premium. I'm glad to say that all my other software such as Coreldraw x4, NX2 appears to be running OK though.

I am having similar problems with ACDsee Pro 3 running on Windows 7, the Search window corrupted and unusable.
Also the option to Import descript.ion files in sub folders when importing description files does not appear in Windows 7 dialog box as it does with the program running under Windows XP.
Windows 7 has also blue screened a few times while trying to do things in ACDSee, even when just trying to got to the Help Customer Report got a message couldn't open default browser (FireFox latest version) and again a few minutes ago tyring to get the search/organize Window to work properly.
It is disappointing that Pro 3 is running so poorly under Windows 7.
When will it do so?? ie when will the programmers fix it!

Folks,
I reported a problem with 3 to ACDSee and part of my info was "running on Windows 7". They came back and told me that ACDSee Pro 3.0 is currently *NOT* supported on Windows 7. Extremely disappointing given the fact that this was just released and that Windows 7 was finalized when they released 3.0.
Unfortunately, this is a simple case of bad R&D and Product Managers. I've been in the s/w business for close to 30 years and I would never release a product in this situation.
Also, from my tests, 3.0 shows some bloating and performance lost since 2.5. Not a great release at this point. This is their "Vista" release.

Beyond the search problem, filtering using IPTC keywords will make folders inaccessible. After doing a catalog I went to Auto Categories/IPTC Keyword and selected a keyword. The thumbnails comes up but trying to access the image results in the Item Not Found message. If I try to open the folder containing the image the folder opens in explorer, not in Pro 3. This fails every time I try the IPTC lookup. However, if I first bounce around the image files and folders before I try an IPTC lookup everything seems ok, even most IPTC lookups. But close the program and open it again and first try IPTC filtering- same problem. I've found this problem with Win 7 Ultimate and Professional.

Hello all,
While ACDSee Pro 3 has met Microsoft's minimum standards for compatibility and reliability on Windows 7 and has been verified Compatible with Windows 7, we have identified usability issues that some users may encounter related to Windows 7 Libraries and high DPI display settings. We expect to address these issues in an upcoming update.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately users of V2.5 will experience similar problems with keywords and filtering. I have both versions running under W7 and both have the same problem. Should we expect an update for 2.5 also?
