I want fast save changes by press buttons Ctrl+S (or via toolbar, oe via menu "Save")...

... and ACD See always ask for filename. This is wrong behaviour! For this action exist special function named "Save As...".

Why ACDSee always show dialog Save_Image_As... instead silent Save?

I think, because of the "save originals" feature.

     No.

By direction of "Save originals" option... ACDSee make hidden folder with name "[Originals]" and save there copies of original files.

Help file: Setting File Management options -

    Save originals

Saves a copy of the original file the first time it is edited. This makes it possible to restore the original file later. Turning this option off means that originals are not

Why not? You can turn it on and off and the dialgoue tells you what you did before accidentally overwriting a file.

  • Olsen is correct.  Even with 'save originals' turned off, if you do a 'Save' or Ctrl-S, you STILL get the 'Save Image As...' dialogue box rather than just saving the image.
