Does PhotoManager 2009 work with 64 bit Windows Vista?

  • Well, it does, and it doesn't.   The program runs fine, except if you are using an HP MFP, it will not scan from it.  There are no 64 bit drivers for the HP MFPs or AIO printers.  However, the work around is to use Windows Photo Gallery to import from the scanner .. for some reason Windows Photo Gallery can use the scanner and Photo Manager cannot....  Then use Photo Manager to work with the scanned whatever and move it where you want it.

Thanks for the info!  I have been using Compupic Pro for many years and it does everything I want fast and efficiently, but it doesn't work on a 64 bit system and I'm looking for a replacement.

    Ron,

Any, or I should say most, software will run on 64 bit. ACDSee software will run, but only in 32 bit enviroment.

If you start PM 2009,and go to the Windows Task Manager, you will see the ACDSee PM with a *32,  after the file name. This means that the program is running on a 64 bit machine , but in a 32 bit enviroment.

I have run PM 2009, and Pro on a 64 bit system, but only with Windows 7.

  • Yes, but, can you scan using PM and an HP AIO like the LJ3055?
