Posted by request from another user:

I have found the following hidden setting for the View mode (only) inside the windows registry:

    HKEY_Current_USER\Software\ACD Systems\ACDSee Pro\30Beta1

    there you find the DWORD

    "ViewerSharpen"

    Default value is 0 (off).
Change this to 1 (ViewerSharpen on).

    Background information:
The known re-sampling setting (nearest neighbour, bilinear, bicubic) in the options only affects zooming.
    But all downsampling works bilinear.
It seems that the downsampling works bicubic (plus extra sharpening ?) if you activate "ViewerSharpen" !

Here is a link to my original post in the german ACDSee forum with more detailed information
    (of course it is german):

I've tried to add a new topic "ViewerSharpen hidden setting" here in this english forum, but I always get an error message, that this site does not exist !?
I've tried it with IE and with Opera Browser a dozen times.
But it does not work (always this damn error message).

    Has anyone tried this?

Can the ACDSee team confirm this setting change will work?

Would be great if it does sharpen the image, I have been a long time ACDSee user but my images do appear sharper in ZoomBrowser EX fom Canon
