ACDSee Pro 3 Beta - General Discussion

View mode > Menu not available when Full Screen

  • With previous versions of ACDSee Pro you could have the menu and/or the toolbar on in Full Screen Viewing mode. So I could use shift + Control + M to toggle the menu, which could be useful if I wanted to access something such as the Navigator or Magnifier, but couldn't remember the keystroke shortcut.

With Pro3, however, to get the menu I have to exit Full Screen mode, and (even with the "Reset Zoom" option turned off) I lose my zoom setting.

Ideally I'd like the menu always on when not in Full Screen mode, but to be able to toggle (it with a keystroke) in Full Screen mode. I'd also like to be able to drag it to make it floating but, as it currently shares screen space with the Mode change buttons, I doubt that's going to happen.

As a compromise, when I'm zoomed in I'd like Pro3 to keep my zoom setting (and where the view is centred) when toggling Full Screen (and regardless of the "Reset Zoom" option, as that should only apply when changing images).

I like your idea in the third paragraph. +1 here.

I also agree.  Personally I'd prefer to go back to the interface of 2.5 with the added features of 3.0.  In 2.5 I could have toolbars, customize them to my needs and likings, great stuff...

Really? I'm not finding that to be the case.  I hit "F" and my zoom stays where it was, but I gain a menu bar and everything else.

But I would love to control the menu bar independently, as I can the other elements of View mode.

Ok, I played around with the setting and found that with Zoom lock enabled the zoom level stayed the same when I toggle Full Screen mode. But what if I don't want Zoom lock enabled.

Worse still, Pan lock doesn't seem to work, so time for another new thread.
