Update for ACDSee Photo Manager 2009 and ACDSee Pro 2.5

    I am pleased to announce the latest update for ACDSee Photo Manager 2009 or ACDSee Pro 2.5.
    This free update includes fixes for following issues:

    Application

    • Images which had GPS Latitude or GPSLongitude EXIF values where the minute contained more than 4 digits past the decimal place were truncated
    • The application would ‘shift' the decimal in GPSLatitude or GPSLongitude fields in the second part of the coordinate in some situations
    • The application would not update the EXIF Camera Date/Time field once that value had been written once
    • GPSLatitude or GPSLongitude EXIF fields that contained a very high number of decimal places would cause the wrong values to be displayed in the Properties pane and these values were then written back into the file - overwriting the original value
    • The application was not correctly writing GPS coordinate values when creating the XMP block resulting in loss of the Latitude/Longitude Reference value.
    • RW2 files were not being correctly associated with the application

    Stability

    • Saving a .RW2 file as a .TIFF could cause a crash if ‘preserve metadata' option was on
    • Corrupt files could cause a crash due to a problem in the Quarantine Files feature
    • Large TIFF files sometimes crashed when being taken into the Editor

    ...installed and worked without any problem - would be nice if links to the localized updates were given in your posts! German updates are always hard to find at your site.

    Greetings, my ACDSee 2.5 is Build 363, am I uo to date? Or do I need to update?

    Currently, you are up do date! Build 363 is the latest version of ACDSee 2.5.

    Pro 2.5 is the best I ever used, but miss layers like in Photoshop. Will there ever be layers in acdsee?
