The thumbnails looks like this after reopen ACDSee Pro 3 Build 304 in every folder.

    Bilder hochladen

After running "Rebuild Thumbnails and Metadata" (Tools => Database) it looks how it should, but after reopen its again broken.

Reinstalling ACDSee has no effect. Anyone an idea?

I'd try removing/renaming your database folder (see tools->options->database for its location) and see if that fixes it.

No effect. Same problem after reopen ACDSee.

I removed the database to another harddrive and a USB stick..

Hmm, if you renamed/removed the correct folder, it should have started out with *no* thumbnails on restart, then rebuilt them one at a time.  Did this not happen?

Is it possible you have the option set to use the embedded thumb, but some of the images in fact *have* no embedded thumb?

Another thing to try - go to Tools->Database->Quarantine Files - are the imges with the missing thumbs listed?

    Sure, this happened.

The option is activated, but without check there is no difference.

No. No image is listed there.

    Strange!

Clutching at straws but have you tried altering the size of your thumbnail display?  Your files' names  do not show and extension - is there one?

Yes, I tried it out. After altering the size, the thumbnails are established again. But after reopen ACDSee it's as previously.

And yes, there are extension, namely .jpg.

Still clutching at straws (!) but:

    1.  When you re-load after rebuilding thumbs, is it always the same images which fail to show or is it random.

    2.  Did you have this problem on a previous version of ACD?

    3.  Just going back to Marc's point on the dbase so we are absolutely clear.  Did you rename your current dbase as, say 'Pro3 Old' and confirmed that Pro3 actually built a new dbase from scratch?

It's random. Also always another number.

    Yes. Renamed, moved and removed..

I have now changed from ACDsee Pro 3 Build 304 to ACDSee 11 Build 113, but it has nothing changed.

But before I have used ACDSee Pro 3, ACDSee 11 was still fine...

I know no further. I've deleted all vestiges of ACDSee Pro before I reinstalled ACDSee 11. The thumbnails in Windows are okay. And the preview of thumbsnails, which are not displayed, works, what I do not understand.
