I have a problem with thumbnails of black & white photos  in ACDSee 2.5 (latest build).

Everything is fine if I view the photo in the normal image viewer:

But if I view the same photo in the browser the thumbnail looks like this:

Have you tried rebuild thumbs under dbase menu?

  • I downloaded your image (bwp1.png) and my thumbnail looks ok. Can I ask whether the thumbnail you show here (your attached image bwp2.png) is from the downsized image or the original? (I'm wondering whether resizing has fixed whatever is causing the problem.)

It's from the original. But it seems to be a general problem since it happens with all b&w images.

  • I didn't have a problem with the resized image you posted. Does that the resized version have the same thumbnail problem on your system as the original image did?

Yes, I had the same problem with the resized image.

I also noticed that I don't get this strange behaviour if I open the image with paint and save it there.

I have the same problem, I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on 2 computers, one has the problem, the other doesn't, so I figure it's not the new operating system. I can view the B & W thumbnails images in any other viewer.
