BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF

You can export DPI when saving as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF files. PE5 is using GDI+, not ACDSee plug-ins. Thus, the Export Option dialogs are different from those of PE4.

    ABR, JBR, and PBR

Brush files can be opened in PE5.

    ABR - Adobe™ Photoshop Brush

    JBR - Corel® Paint Shop Pro® Brush

    PBR - Corel® Paint Shop Pro® Brush

    ARW, HDR, KDC, and MEF

Sony RAW (ARW), Creo Leaf RAW (HDR), Kodak RAW (KDC), and Mamiya RAW (MEF) can be opened in PE5. • • •

GDI stands for Graphic Device Interface.
Not to get to technical you can read about it in plain language: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GDI+

I've got an HDR-SR1E camcorder in addition to my Canon stills camera. What I'm looking for is a product that can support the AVCHD format so that I can catalogue my movies and pictures in a single application. Does the 2008 beta support AVCHD and if not will it be supported in the next version of ACDSee?

    Thanks - Colin

Hi, Try ACDSee Photo Manager - that's the product that you'd use for cataloging & organizing. There is a 30 day trial http://store.acdsee.com/servlet/Controller...ductID=78701300 It views over 150 file types. Connie

Does Photo Manager catalog AVCHD? I know that Pro 2.5 does not and am looking for a solution.
