So slow to open

    Hi all, I had ACDSee scan all the images within my My Pictures folder (16,204 images or 207 GB) and now opening ACDSee takes an eon. Like about a full minute before it opens. Is there any way to speed this up? Most distressing!

    That doesn't seem right - I've got more images than that, and Pro 3 starts up in way under a minute - faster than 2.5 did, too.  Maybe try an optimize of the the db?  Or change (at least temporarily, just to see) the folder you start in?

    FWIW, I generally open ACDSee once shortly after booting and leave it up until I shut down, which might not be for days or even weeks.  I'm not one to constantly start and stop ACDSee - like my email program and Firefox, it stays up pretty much full time.
