    Hi

Since I only have version 8 & my version 10 has expired ..........

In version 10 can I upload to Smug Mug my photo's including the captions , since I don't want to enter them twice ?? - or do I have to copy the into the EXIF (comment field) or IPTC ( caption field ). ??

Will it enable me to point to existing Smug Mug categories or sub categories and albums ??

    Thanks
    Zane

    Hi

Nobody replied to the post becaue it can't be done according to ACDSee suport:

"None of the ACD Database captions can be uploaded to SmugBug they will only accept SmugBug specific captions. "

    Then to my questio :
Will Smug mug accept captions from the EXIF or IPTC data fields ?

    ACDSee support replied :

No, You can only add custom SmugMug captions.

To me & I would have thought to a lot of other users , a major worflow issue , because I'm having to enter the captions twice ?? I would have thought the xchange of captions between phot applications would be an esy task ?

Would appreciate other users comments or assitance ?

I've fowarded AVDSee response onto Smug Mug for comment ?

    Thanks
    Zane

I don'use Smug Mug so I can't help with the uploader. But if you know that Smug Mug *will* read the EXIF captions, then you can use Batch Set Information to copy all of your captions to EXIF, thus avoiding having to actually enter them again.
