    Hi

I have now been working with the beta for a month. I must say that i really enjoy working with the new Acdsee. It looks a bit like Adobes Lightroom but thats not a bad thing.

The only bug i can find is the garbled search function, but it's a very annoying one - not being able to perform searches. I had the problem on my Vista installation and Acdsee 2.5 but it is still present in the beta version under both Vista and Windows 7.

Perhaps you could provide more info on where it's falling down and whether you use Quick Search or the Search Pane.

That certainly is 'garbled'  - works fine for me on this and previous beta.  Have you tried re-positionning the pane/Closing the search pane through View menu/re-loading the software?

Sorry for the late reply. I tried closing and repositioning the pane. It's the same. Tried uninstallinge/reinstallaing without luck. Weird ...

The fact that you had this with 2.5 also, might suggest something unusual with your system - I don't remember hearing of this from others.  Anyway, I will bring to attention of ACD staff in the hope they might have a lead.

    Thanks.

2.5 was on a PC running Vista. Beta 3 is on my main PC running Windows 7. One with an Nvidia card - the other an ATI, so i don't think its hardware related.

    Hi,

    I've the same problem.

I'm with 2 PC on windows 7, both Acdsee 2.5 and 3.0 version have the problem.

Changing the compatibility properties of acdsee and setting it on Vista or Xp doesn't help

Also chnaging the video resolution doesn't help

This has been reproduced by ACD staff and a fix will be made available
