I like using just one program for my organizing and viewing and for years it has been successive versions of ACDSee. However Windows Live has come out with a feature called People Tagging that is absolutely AWESOME. Facebook has a similar feature. The user identifies people in the photo and when the mouse pointer gets close to the face the name pops up in a nice little button. Will ACDSee come out with a similar feature with the following specs in the near future?
- Finds faces and allows user to designate face and or area in photo and identify it.
- Once a name or description is entered the program saves it so next time user just selects from list.
- Menu item allows user to turn on or off whether the name or description goes into the keyword and/or category data.
- Includes a freely distributable "viewer" app so the user can send it out with the photos to family and friends so when they view the photos the feature works. View only. (When people see this feature they will want to get it themselves and will want to buy ACDSee.)
- Photos that have people tags in them will have a box with all the names & descriptions in the photo and when the mouse is over the name or description it is highlighted in the photo.
