Read in embedded database info for selected files

It seems there was a reason why "Rebuild Thumbnails and Metadata" doesn't actually restore embedded database information, although I've forgotten what it might be.  If there isn't really a good reason, I'd like to request this happen.  If there is a good reason why that command doesn't restore embedded database info, then I'd like to request a *new* command that does this.  the idea being, having to run Catalog Files is far too cumbersome just to restore db info for a few files - they have to be in the same folder, and you don't want anything else in that folder, etc.  Just as there is an Embed operation for selected files, there should be a restore operation (or whatever you'd want to call it) that also worked on selected files.

  • I'll second that.

If you can Embed for selected files (as is the case), you should be able to "un-embed" selected files too.
