Any news as yet? Strange all the other models are supported but the 350...
Even Picasa and other small free apps read it find but ACDSee Pro does not? Don't understand... <<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

We are planning on releasing a RAW update with support for the Sony A350. I don't have an exact date but it should be available late October.

Thanks Marc, but this doesn't work with ACDSEE Photo Manager 10 and the software update for Photo Manager 10 also doesn't seem to address this issue.

Hello klfong,
ACDsee Photo Manager 2009 is the succsessor of Photo Manager 10. The RAW update was also released for this version. The general Updatepage is located here:
http://www.acdsee.com/support/updates
As far as I know raw updates are only released for the most current version of a software but I'm not totally sure about that one. Anybody is this the case?
If so only upgrading to 2009 will get you the update. With wanting to make any advertising ACDsee sent out some eMails to existing customers with quite afforable upgrade discounts. Did you get one of those? Please also check spam.

Thanks for the reply Moongate, but I hope this isn't true.... I specifically bought the latest version of ACDSEE (which was 10 at that time) earlier this year because of my new A350 and haven't been able to use it for the Raw pictures since. If this is the policy, then it should be written up in big bold letters on the box that says exactly what cameras it will or will not support, and that there is no guarantee that it will be supported in the next release because the version of the software is going to be supeceded. Even the anti-virus companies have at least a year's updates for free as you would expect that the software would support some amount of ugradeability. I've been using ACDSEE since V5 and I find this most upsetting.

I will check on that. Please have a look here in the meantime.

There was an update to V10 on the same day the RAW update was release for 2009. Could you please install that one an tell me if that resolves the raw issue for you before I start contacting someone about it.
Thank you

OK then I go on asking about the specifications on raw updates i.e. if it is intended for older versions or not. I have never made my mind about about this for ACDsee.
Please come back to me here if I don't get back to you until end of next week.

Hello Ken,
yes the answer was that you will receive raw updates as long as you are using the most current version. If a new version comes out like in this case 2009 you can upgrade at a discount and you will then again get raw updates for the timeperiod of that version. I thing its always 12 months or so.
I tried to argue that Adobe is also giving out updates for old versions but also had to accept that this is wrong.

Thanks for trying. This is a sad state of affairs. Having wasted my money on V10, I will have to rethink whether I should stop using this programme altogether, especially since I can't even get 2009 here in Singapore at this point i time.
