I was using Pro 3 for a long time, then it died yesterday taking with it about 4 days of slide/image sorting! Is there a way I can get ti back?? I've purchased Pro 3 as of yesterday. Thank you

Seems the database it created would probably still be intact, the trick would be getting the purchased version to use it. Go to tools->options->database to find out where your "regular" (not beta) database is, then browse around those folders to find the beta version you had last been using, and see if you can startup ACDSee pointing to that folder. If so, then I'd select all files you had organized using the beta, then run tools->database->embed database information to store all that info in the files. Then set the db back to the regular (not beta) version, and run Catalog Files to rebuild you db from the information you embedded.
You mention "sorting" - if by that you mean custom sort orders for categories or folders, that probably won't come across thatway. you might need to find another method, like exporting your entire beta db to a text file and seeing if you can import that into the regular db. Or maybe temporarily renaming you images in the sorted order.
