    Hi,

The circumstances: the EXIF date, that is used to show pictures in the calendar and can be used as the database date, is indisputable a very important information. However, there isn't such an EXIF date in each and any of my pictures I want to organize with ACDSee. E.g. pictures from cellular phones do not write such information, at all.

The problem: regarding these circumstances, ACDSee will not show these pictures e.g. while browsing the calendar.

So what should I do? Find all pictures without an EXIF date and give it manually to them? Or do you have other suggestions? How do you manage this?

    Thank you. </forums.acdsystems.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Date time digitised under search facility only allows
    is before date
    is after date
    is between date
...so hard to find that way. However, from prompt on another post, if you use details view of all images and sort on date\time digitised in the right order, you will have all blanks at the top of the list.
Highlight them and batch process with a single given date of your choice.

When I am unconcerned about the original date of scanned (in my case) images, I select them as above then using batch process automate the date\time digit to map to the created date which is, of course, the date they were imported into the dbase - normally good enough for a batch. If you have many phone pictures which you imported close-ish to the event, this may be adequate.

If I want a more accurate but still estimated date I set date at exactly midnight on the first of the month - only once in my life have I been sober enough at hogmanay to take a REAL snap to counter this convention </forums.acdsystems.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
