I've started this post to provide my suggestions on added product features. Hopefully others will contribute also.
General
+ Combine the photo editing and organizing products
Categories
+ Add options to allow categories to rollup to higher level categories automaticall
- Check boxes on individual categories for rollup
- Options to apply a rollup to all categories or by some grouping or other criteria
- The effect would be to auto select a higher node in the tree if a lower node was selected, this must be done manually today
+ Allow category favorites to be created to speed the organizing many photos (drag and drop)
+ Have a category favorites window link the image basket to show/add favorites
+ Display selected favorites in separate window like the image basket
+ Auto apply categoires on import or base on other criteria
Photo Albums
+ Virtual Albums to automatically create albums based on categories, ratings, and keywords
+ New Album based on all photos with Category = Family & Christmas with a rating of 5 for example
Slide Shows
+ Create slide shows based on photo albums or categories
