I'm back!! I purchased an additional licence for CanvasX and received an email from ACD - thanks Suzanne.
I downloaded from link and left it till now to install using the second key as given in email from ACD.
Now its telling my 'Trial Period' is over and wont accept the key despite it saying it has and I'm now registered for CanvasX with GIS.
This whole excercise was to get a version of CanvasX GIS that could be reinstalled on a PC without having this problem. Having lost a PC and a Laptop within the space of 3 months I fully know the hassles that causes when trying to chase programs, keys etc.
Can someone please help.
(Just now I can't access internet from PC where I'm installing Canvas due to wireless issues so am sending this from laptop - not sure if I needed to be online on PC to activate something?)
regards Richard

regards RichardHello Richard,
I would suggest that you uninstall Canvas and then reinstall using the serial that you just got. When you uninstall, make sure to remove any files for Canvas in the Application Data folder.

hello Suzanne. Should I download again too? This was a new install on a machine thats never seen Canvas with what I supposed was a version of Canvas that had an infinite life and using a given serial number. If I should re-download then from where- ie old link or the download trial section?

Last bit from ACD email sent previously.

regards RichardHello Richard,
I assume that you downloaded from there. If you have the Help than you have the full ESD version. Don't bother downloading again or reinstalling if that is the case.
For the serial number, I assume that you entered it when you installed, correct? Serial numbers can also be entered via the License Manager (Help > License Manager).

Yes - serial number entered upon request during program installation.
I emailed ACD as I just want to have CanvasX on a CD that is 'incorruptable and reinstallable at will'. The download and burn option seemed the cheapest way to go, but not sure now.
Its very frustrating. Regards Richard
Since had reply from ACD so I'll see what comes - would have deleted this post but not sure how - maybe someone can inform me on that please.Posted On January 9, 2007 - 01:41 PM (2 years ago) (Permalink to this post)
