    I downloaded the first beta 3 version of ACDSee Pro several days ago.  I installed it on my computer and sent in my name and email address, but I have not received the unlock email from ACDSee.  I did receive a email thanking my for joining the beta 3 program and inviting me to join the discussion fourm, but there was nothing in the email that I could see as a unlock code.  The email did thank me for unlocking the software, but the software is still locked.

    Today I uninstalled the first beta 3 version from several days ago and downloaded and installed the newest beta version but still no unlock code.

    You shouldn't necessarily see an actual code - just a link to click on that unlocks it automatically.

    Marc;

    I have gone over every active link in the email I received from ACDSee after downloading the beta  3 version and none of them seem to unlock the software.  They just take you to a web page on the ACDSee web site.  The paragraph on the email that thanks you for unlocking the beta software does not have an active link with it.  After I double clicked on all of the links I reopened the beta 3 software and it is still locked.

    You should have received an email with a message similar to this:

    "Welcome.

    Please click on this link to unlock your beta http://www.acdsee.com/beta/unlock/

    Regards,
    The Team at ACD Systems."

    At the end of the link is a series of numbers and letters. Clicking on the link will activate your beta version of ACDSee Pro 3

    I am running into the same thing.   I have tried to get the email sent to me on three occasions.   I have checked my email to make sure it is accurate.   So far no email.  My time as expired and I tried again to get the email generated and no luck.

    Still no unlock email.  This is not rocket science people.  I keep gitting ACDSee news letters every couple of days talking about how great the second release of the new ACDSee Pro beta 3 is but I can't seem to get a simple email that allows me to unlock the program.  I am not going to uninstall and them reinstall the software every two day just so I can run the Program.  If anyone out there has a copy of the unlock email please forward it to me at WWW.mbebber@roadrunner.com.

    Thanks

    Same thing here, I've followed the instructions and have not been able to use the V 3 due to not being unlocked.  What gives guys?  I love your product but if I can't use it ( and I'm an Reg Owner) what good is it!

    I'll join the list. I too haven't received an email to unlock the second beta. I tried the previous (1st beta) link but that didn't work. Since you only have two days to unlock the app one would think you would be a response immediately.  TECH SUPPORT WE NEED HELP!

    Wish i could help.  I'd just observe that I never got an unlock email for the second beta, but nor did I need one - the first beta simply continued working (and says it expires October 30).  Perhaps this is somehow connectd to whatever happened to make other settings carry over for me but not for others?  Something in the registry, perhaps?

    Marc, ACDSee messed up here.  Version 3.1 erases version 3.0, and without unlock codes 3.1 won't work.  One expects glitches in betas, but not in the routine administration of sending out the codes.  Since customer service phone service has been discontinued at the same time (although answering machines still send you there) it leaves us with no recourse (can't find anything on the web site).

    I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I never got an email reply either. I also installed the 3.1 ver. over 3.0. Now what?

    What I'm saying is, it didn't happen that way for me.  Somehow my installation of build Beta 2 (Pro 3.0 build 304 - what you are calling 3.1) *is* using he old unlock code just fine.  So one way or another, it is probably *possible* to get that to happen on your system too.  i just don't know *how* to make it that work, since it happened automatically on my system.

    Yes, obviously, it's a glitch ACD needs to fix - I'm just suggesting a workaround (or at least a place to look for a workaround) that could get people up and running while waiting for a resposne from ACD.  Perhaps start by poking around the registry?

    Marc;

    Poking around the registry is not going to do me any good since I never received the unlock code for the first beta 3 version much less the second.  Also I uninstalled the first version before I tried to install the second beta 3 version.  It sure would be nice to be able to talk to someone that works directly with ACDSee software developement, either by phone or email.  This having no tech support and no email support for the beta 3 software is really dumb.  It appears they are not even monitoring these forums either or we would have had some kind of a responce from them by now.  Marc do you not have any direct connections with the software developement section?

    FWIW, Having failed at getting an unlock code for the second edition of Beta 3, I did manage to find the download of the first version.  I uninstalled all versions, installed the first version and clicked on the link in the original email.  The first version is now working fine, including all the preferences I set before.

    I will be more cautious about installing upgrades!

    I never received this email, I have less than 1 day.  I'm on a trip and once Sunday comes, I will not have access to the internet but will need access to ACDsee.

    I currently own v2.5 and have been an ACDSee fan from day 1 more than 15 years ago when it was free. This is the first time no matter what I do, confirm my name and email etc, I never receive an email giving me a link to unlock.

    I still did not receive an email to unlock beta 2. I confirmed my name, email etc, all was find but still no email with a link to unlock. I checked my spam folder and still nothing.

    Its about to expire sometime today. After sunday, I will have no internet access for a few days since I'll be deep into the Smoky Mountains, but will have my laptop and need access to beta 2.

    Why is there no longer a way to call for help?
