I don't know what I did but now when I view a photo in full-size View mode I have no toolbar in the top area where some of my most used tools used to be. I can only access them by right-clicking and that is a nuisance. How can I get them back where they belong? I'm sure it is something simple and obvious that I am missing.

Simply press the letter F
Is the toolbar back?

No. The only thing that happened was the photo was on the only display on the screen and even the toolbar on the side was gone now.

Ah. Hit F again to toggle it back to the way it was before, then try Ctrl-Shift-T to get the toolbar back (hit it again would toggle it off again, too). Ctrl-Shift-M similar toggles display of the menu bar. These shortcuts are visible (assuming your menu is visible) in the View menu.
