The D5000 doesn't appear to have any support for RAW .NEF images as yet, apart from a codec (that doesn't work) for Windows image and fax viewer. When are we going to see something from ACDSee, and will it be available for ACDSee 10?

Hi,
We're currently working on the D5000. Would you be able to share some images with Development? It would help.

Hello Mel
I am facing the same issue as Raptor142, could you please keep me updated with the solution as well?
Thanks a million

Hi grassroots292,
The RAW team is working on supporting that camera model and the update will be announced here in the forums and via email for registered users. I can't, unfortunately, provide information on when an individual RAW format will be available for the product.

Hey Mel,
Thank you for the speedy reply. So i should just keep my eye open in the forms then for the new update?
Thanks again

Add me to the "me too" on this one. I just purchased the Pro, and absolutely love the way it works. A bit surprised that the D5000 NEF isn't supported. . . thanks for handling this issue.

Seeing as the your team just released a new update, will we be looking at another few months for the D5000 update?

Hello
While the Nikon D5000 is not currently supported, that model is on the list and the plugin is being developed. As we are currently working on it, would you be able to share some images with Development? It would be very helpful.

Really do hope you add D5000 support to good old 10. The 'twisty' live-view fills a real need for serious photographers. That camera is going to be popular, 'entry level' or not. Please put me on that e-mail notification list. Thanks much.

The email is sent out to regestered users and new RAW support is for current products.

If I purchased the Pro version directly from you, am I automatically "registered"?

I can also send NEF files from a D5000 camera for the development team, if it is of any use.

Any updates on this? Looking back at past release dates for RAW updates shows time frames of 2 to 5 months between updates.
Are we close or should I look at purchasing another software package?
I've been using trial versions of Capture NX2 and Lightroom hoping that a RAW update for ACDSee Pro would be out by the time they expired (yes I'm a paid owner of a license) but it looks as though I may have to drop some cash on one of those now.

Hey Muzzy
Here's an interesting link for you

I'm still holding out for the ACDSee plugin, because I'm not really fond of the Nikon interface...
