I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I installed ACDSee Pro 2.5 with no problems (first installed v.333, then the update v.363). When I first installed v.333, the installation closing dialog with the "Finish" button offered an option to launch the program from there. No problem -- ACDSee Pro 2.5 opened in this manner just fine, and I was able to navigate around the program as usual. However, I am then unable to launch the program by clicking on the desktop icon. Doing so immediately gives me a Windows error saying ACDSee Pro is unable to run. The program launches and runs just fine in Windows Safe Mode. I am stumped -- I have uninstalled and re-installed, all to no avail. Any thoughts on why I am unable to run Pro 2.5 in Vista 64-bit?

My 2.5 was fine in Vista (32-bit), but exhibits similar symptoms in Win 7 RC1 (32-bit). Beta 3 seems okay in W7.

I can open up ACDSee but it won't let me drag and drop photos into Photoshop, which is proving a mighty pain.
I'm using Vista 64 SP2.
