ACDSee Pro 2 and 2.5

Missing captions & categories

Hi

I'm currently using ACDSee 10 & have just installed a trial version of Pro 2.5 but there's no captions or categories appearing in Pro 2.5 ? .

When I installed Pro 2.5 I elected to convert the database ?

Any suggestions on how to fix ?

Either the database did not convert at all, or it converted but for whatever reason the images are not being associated with the db info. If you go to Calendar view and click on a month when you know you took pictures, do thumbs show up if you double click one, do you get an error message? if so, you need to run Database->Database Maintenance to tell ACDSee where these files have gone. Did you perhaps also change computers or hard drives during this process?

If nothing shows up when you click a month in Calendar view, then the db wasn't converted, so I'd try again - Database->Convert Database. If that didn't work, I'd go back to v10 and export the db as a text file then import it into 2.5.
