ACDSee Pro 2 and 2.5

Lost database

I installed a trial of Pro 2.5 (currently using ACDSee 10) and converted the database but the Pro 2.5 database appears empty because the no captions & catergories are blank.

Any suggestions on how I can retrieve the database ?

Did you convert the database during the installation, or did you run Database->Convert Database after installing 2.5? I'd try the latter. And if that doesn't work, I'd go back to v10, *export* the database as a text file (by selecting all images then running Database->Export), then import the text file file into Pro 2.5. You would probably need to do a test export from 2.5 to see what version number it expects and change the first line of the exported v10 database file to match.

Thanks the convesion worked.........and I presume I could the same in reverse ie in ACD10 do a conversion using Pro 2.5 db ?

Glad it worked. But no, I don't think you can convert going backwards.
