I am looking for RAW samples from the Nikon D3 or the Nikon D300 so that we can add support for these camera models.
If you are able to supply samples let me know and I will PM you with information on where you can upload the images.
Thanks!

You can get official Nikon D3 images here:

And D300 ones here:

Peter,
Thank-you for your reply, unfortunately the samples provided on the nikon website are jpgs and I am looking for .NEF files.

I´m just very interested in this whole topic so I would like to ask a question.
I know that every manufacturer has his own file format for raw files. I don´t want to discuss the factors why this is the case but every company who wants to integrate those files into their product always needs detailed information on the formats.
In the case of Canon there is a partner program for developers to be able to receive up to date information on new camera models and formats. I don´t know if it is harder to get those information for other manufacturers but maybe they have partner programs too.
Is there a reason why ACDsee is not engaging in such programs or trying to get the information from the manufacturers in any other way but instead running after demo files?
Or is ACDsee already enganging in those programs or trying to get those information from them and they still don´t provide the needed information?
This is not meant as an offense because I just really want to know more about the problem and I would like to see ACDsee ahead of the herd. I see many users asking for raw support - G9, D300, E3 - and I just can´t imagine that other companies are buying every new camera model or ask around in their forums in order to get those demo files </forums.acdsystems.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> They problem I see with this is that you always get files with different motives instead of the shot of a color test chart which would also be helpful for adjusting the preprocessing settings for the raw editor.
Maybe someone could shed some light on this matter why it is so hard to get those information because if the manufacturers are not willing to provide the information maybe an alternative can be found. I´m thinking of a cooperation with a photo magazine who is testing new models even in pre release state. They could easily send files of all new formats to ACDsee if it could be arranged </forums.acdsystems.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
Thank you

Ah, I just found something interesting about Nikon and raw support myself.
It is pretty much text so I just paste the links here. They contain information about Nikon an their raw formats
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html
You have to scroll down and find the text at about the middle of the page

I've got some samples taken with my D3, send me a PM and let me know where I can upload these RAW files.
Atomic,
I've found some samples - thanks for your help.

Are the D3 and D300 NEF files the same format? and, if not, do you have the D300 samples you need? One more question: is there support for the 14 bit format planned, or only the 12 bit format?
