ACDSee Pro 3 Beta - General Discussion

Is anybody from ACDSee reading these forums?

I've seen lots of great suggestions and many bug reports.  However there has been little response from ACDSee.  Beta users are taking their time to not only try this new version but also submit comments and suggestions.  It would seem reasonable that "Corporate Overloards" would take a few minutes and provide feedback on the feedback.

Apparently not. I posted a question two days ago with no replies and it's a simple question.

Kinda damn pointless to have a forum if no one monitors it. Damn stupid idea

    Hi people.

This is a peer to peer forum. Users helping users. This is not the way to contact ACDSee directly.Go to the top of the page and click on support. This will direct you to the main support page.

Some ACDSee reps do drop in occasionally, but most of the time it is just us ordainary users, here on the forum, trying to help.

I personally understand the intent that this is a peer to peer forum. However, for Beta testing, I think the general perception is that even though it is a peer to peer forum that there would be more involvement and feedback from ACDSee staff. The Beta forum guidelines start out by suggesting it might be so, maybe that is why there is an expectation of hearing a bit more from ACDSee staff.

    The first section under Overview:

    Overview

The power of a community resides in its size, diversity and activity. As part of an ACDSee Beta Program, an ACDSee Community Member is encouraged to engage other members and the ACDSee Team in discussions surrounding a products development. The following guidelines are applicable to all ACDSee Community Members participating in an ACDSee Beta Forums...

Regardless, based on interaction that I have seen the staff is viewing the bugs and suggestions. Even though we have not heard back to every thread, or received much feedback or experienced their involvement regularly, I do believe they are aware of what is being posted.

Happy Monday everyone.  :-) We're here and reading the great feedback you are providing but as you can imagine, we can't respond to everything. The team is just not that big (and we're working hard to produce the best product possible).

As are many of us...  We also (to some extent anyway) realize the balancing act between including support for Chromakey and stacking and fixing the ever-joyful "ACDSee has encountered an error and will now quit."

It seems like you are doing a really good job.  Best of luck and I can't wait to see the finished product.
