I loaded ACDSee successfully and then proceeded to load GhostScript. When I opened ACDSee for the first time, it told me that I didn't have GhostScript installed. It asked me if I wanted to download it and I said no. How do I install/activate GhostScript so that it's recognized from within ACDSee? Thanks!

Hi jpguy,
What version of GS did you install?
The latest is 8.54. http://www.ghostscript.com/article/71.html to download.
Make sure that the ID_PS. apl is enabled in "Tools/Plugins/Plugin Settings".Did you shutdown ACDSee after installing GS?

Sorry, Chippy, the version was the issue. I was trying to install a newer version than my ACDSee was able to "handle"? I think. To those out there with the same problem, make sure you load the appropriate GhostScript that matches your version of ACDSee. Thanks!

Hmmm, having some issues. I've installed and uninstalled GhostScript 8.54 (64-bit) on Vista 3 times now and ACDSee Pro 2.5 will not see it. I even directed the install to the ACDSee Plugins2 folder without success.
What am I doing wrong?

Use GS 8.53. As ACDSee is a 32bit , I would not think it would reconize a 64 bit installation.
I use 8.53 on 2.5 Pro and 3 pro. with no problems. With Vista and W7 (64)

Installing 8.53 worked for me. I had to use the 32 bit version of ghostscript and this also is a solution for ACDSEE Pro 3.0 that gave me the same problem.
