Currently I am starting with ACDSee and I am trying to find an appropriate workflow for myself but have been having trouble. I am starting with a 60Gb image repository on my main PC which is shared on the network, and I do most of my work on my laptop. I bring my images into ACDSee by creating a clean local database and cataloging from the root of my shared image repository. I have been unable to display the thumbnails for these images when the laptop is offline. I would think that there would be a way in the explorer window to show 'paths existing in the database' as opposed to 'currently live paths'. Since when I am offline I cannot select my repository, I can not figure out how to select these images and see the thumbnails? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Thumbnails of your off-line images can be accessed through
1. Any of the calendar views
2. Ticking one or more easy-select box in the organize pane
3. Search on any combination of metadata
In this example I used the Autocategory "Photographer" (option 2)
