Green Preview Screen in PROCESS

I started discussing this weird green preview screen behavior in the General Thread.  Tested and finally pinned down as follows:

The "green screen" bug occurs ONLY with .CR2 image files that have been previously processed (modified) using Pro 2.5. AND, the green preview screen only occurs when moving from VIEW to PROCESS.  Going from MANAGE to PROCESS works fine.  However, this is not just a superficial visual bug.  I was able to actually Save the green screen version, get a green thumbnail, and corupt my database.

    Sumnerbi,

Can you provide any additional information? I tried processing a Canon 450D.CR2 file in Pro 2.5 (I adjusted almost every settings). I then opened pro 3 and went from view to process with this image but I didn't see the image turn green.

Hi Erin -   Thanks for the followup.  Here's some additional information:  The CR2 files are from a Canon EOS XSi, 12.2 mp, 4272 x 2848 res.  The PC is a Sony Vaio AW290 (brand new) running under Vista x64 Home Premium.  The screen turns green at the very end of the multi-step loading process.  What I see looking at the blue %-progress bar is several successful steps, then the second to the last step changes the image to an overly bright state, and the very last step turns the image all green.

I suppose it's possible that it's something unique about this particular PC and it's video driver.  I've also got a Vista x32 machine, and a Windows7 x32 machine.  So, I'll do a little experimenting and post back.

Erin -    I just loaded Pro 3.0 (304) on my Travel PC running Vista x32 and got the exact same green preview image when going from VIEW to PROCESS.  Below are some nice screenshots of my son-in-law fishing in Baja, one green and one normal.  Please post back and let me know what the heck this green phenomenon turns out to be.

    Good Luck, Bill
