I'd like to see a list of the shortcuts along the top of this site to all the Product Forums. I browse both versions of Canvas Forums and being at the bottom of the pile its a lot of (well sort of) mousing about to go through the Windows one then browse to the Mac one and back again. Or maybe I'm just getting tired or lazy!! Just a suggestion
    regards Richard

    Hi Richard,
Do you mean in the top grey strip where it says 'ACD Systems', Help, search, etc? In that bar?

I realized not too long ago that the ACD Systems is the home button & takes you to their site.

well yes - I hadn't realsied that the 'acdsee' at very top was a shortcut to all Forums. I had only found the 'ACD Systems' on line below took us to the Home Page. What I was envisaging was all the Forums along the same line between 'ACD Systems' and 'Help' etc. Ie permamently visible.
But now I know the link at top then that makes it easier

I've never quite understood why we need fully separate boards for the Win & Mac versions. I can maybe see having separate Win/Mac bug report forums, but everything else is similar enough to be combined into one forum, IMHO.

Toe, I echo this - I browse both forums to glean every bit of info and it's obvious that Canvas users have some issues in Mac that Windows don't have but that shouldn't stop us having the one Forum. I've often pondered this.
The bug report could still be under the general Canvas Forum but with individual Headers

This is possible. (quite easily so). I've done some moving of furniture on the board </forums.acdsystems.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Did you notice that all the older products were consolidated with PM 8?
And I put Fotoslate with Photo Editor - well I kept them separate but under the same header.

It is easier to read the board when there is less forums to go into.

Do you want something like this?

    Canvas forum:

    - Windows thread (combined)
    - Windows issues
    - Mac threads (combined)
    - Mac issues

Or do you have other ideas?

There has been discussion that there isn't much differentiation between the Discussion & Suggestions. And people don't necessarily post in the appropriate place.

    Hi everyone,

Based on Richard's request, I have joined the two forums into one for your browsing convenience.

I do have a question - Do you want them left in this order? Or do you want the similar topics grouped?

Like - Discussion Win, Discussion Mac
    GIS Win, GIS Mac
    etc

It's an easy thing to do.

Also, my sister figured out how to put clickable links across the top just to the right of 'ACD Systems' that could bring you to the forum of your choice. We'll ask for consideration of that addition.

Well, you merged the forum categories into one, at least. </forums.acdsystems.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

My suggestion was to merge the redundant topic boards for each platform into one. In other words, instead of GIS Win & GIS Mac, you'd just have one GIS Discussion. Possibly leave the Win Issues & Mac Issues separate, though.

Yes, I was understanding that - but once I do it, it's going to be hard to undo... so I was taking it in little steps.

So you DO want these all merged together?

    Discussion (Windows + Mac)
    GIS (Windows + Mac)
    Suggestions (Windows + Mac)
    Windows Issues
    Mac Issues

It's not hard to do ... I just want to make sure that's what people want. Maybe others have comments on it?

It might be coming down the pipe anyway:

While we will not be incrementally releasing new versions of Canvas for the Mac platform, our R&D department is exploring opportunities to develop new cross-platform products that support and streamline our users’ workflow.

    Hey Richard -
My sister put in the links in the header for you! No more scrolling for you. You can click on the Forum that you want.

And Toe- do you want the two GIS sections combined? I can do that this weekend. But only if you're sure.

Do you want other sections combined? It will be impossible to undo it.

thanks Connie's sister. I'd noticed something was different but it had't got through the grey matter till now. Yes a worthy improvement.
