If I filter by a given category, then go back to the "Filter By" dropdown, it invariably shows that I am actually filtering by Tagged (although the command *does* work correctly - it is in fact filtering based on the category). I'm guessing this is a bug.
If I have a filter applied while viewing the contents of a folder, the browser will not show me any subfolders. It seems to me I'm usually going to still want to see my folder structure when filtering out images. At least, it seems an option should be provided to control this.
I don't quite understand how keystroke shortcuts for category assignment work in conjunction with filters. I had a keystroke defined to assign and deassign a particular category. I was able to toggle assignment of an image to that category by pressing the keystroke. Then I tried to filter on that category, and then I reset to show all images. Thenceforth, the keystroke that previously assigned and deassigned an image to the category in question was redefined to filter by that category. This remained effect for some time, but at some point, it seems the old behavior of the keystroke came back. I suppose I may have accidentally stumbled on an actual feature, and perhaps the documentation will explain how this works? In any case, I certainly would like to have a reliable way of defining a keystroke to apply filters by category.
All in all, I am finding this a very promising facility, as discussed in the thread on Versioning & Stacking.
