Expanding the tree

I have inherited a Seagate USBHDD with over 76,000 images on it although I know that there are only about 18,000 different pictures that are duplicated up to 5 times. These pictures are distrubuted over approx. 1200 folders, nested up to five deep. What I am trying to do is display ALL 76,000 photos in one long list and sort them in name order so that I can eliminate the duplicates.

Is there any way to quickly expand the folder tree of a group of folders, right down to its deepest level.  It is very tedious clicking on every "+" in front of each folder in the tree, and ACDsee doesn't remember the expanded setting when I close it, so I have to go through the whole tedious process every time.

There are a number of ways:

    1.  Using the * on the numeric keypad at the highest folder level, press * as many times as there are levels of sub-folder.  Then use easy select from first to last folder.

    2.  Better way in your circumstance would be to search for *.*

For eliminating dupes I would suggest not to use acdsee but another tool you can google. Showing and sorting of huge amounts of images in acdsee needs a lot of time and will likely crash.
