Embed Database Info writes Categories and keywords to IPTC?

I was trying to write categories and keywords from the database to IPTC fields, but the Embed Database Information function doesn't seem to do anything.

Am I missing something or is the embed function not working yet in Beta 3.0?

    Thanks.

The embed function writes those fields shown in the Properties>Dbase pane to the files (already held in the dbase itself).  These fields are unique to ACD and, in order to populate iptc fields, you need to use Batch Set Information in the iptc tab to set iptc values to those in the ACD dbase.  You can set this up as a template for future use.

Right - the fields used by the Embed operation are XMP fields that only ACDSee will generally see (although in theory, other applications *could* see them  they just wouldn't know what they are for).  Batch Set Information is indeed the way to get info into IPTC fields, and creating a template to do it for your is a marvelous thing.  You'll have to set up the template yourself in terms of choosing which IPTC fields to use to store which database fields.
