Edit mode / Crop: <F> should preview cropped image

When using the Edit Crop tool, in the bottom toolbar next to the "Show Previous" button, there is a little button whose tooltip says "<F> Displays a full screen preview of the final image".

Clicking this button, or using the 'F' hotkey, should display the cropped image.  Instead, the uncropped image is shown.

  • This works for me, so it must be computer or set-up dependant

What I get is a preview of the *default* crop - the original position of the crop rectangle when you first enter the tool.  Not the full image, not whatever I change the crop to.  Quite wrong.

After you move and/or resize the crop rectangle to suit your needs, you must set the crop by either clicking "Done" on the left pane, or by double clicking the cropped area. Now the F hot key should work. It does it for me.

  • This is most odd. I tried this again, and this time I found it worked like Marc said (showing the original "default" crop, not what I'd set). Then I cancelled and tried the preview in Develop mode, which worked OK. Then I went back and tried it in Edit mode again, and this time it showed the original image, with no crop at all, and now I can't get it to do anything else.

So it seems to be decidedly flaky.

Good bug! Development will look into these issues.
