I'd like to see options for the graticule (the cross in the middle) in the cropping window:
1. Turn it off.
2. Extend it to the edges of the crop window.
3. Replace it with a grid covering the entire crop window.
4. Make it portable - let me drag it to anywhere within the window to mark the relative location of a fixed detail, lock it there, and then save that relative location as well as the dimensions of the window for use in framing the same subject in subsequent images.
To elaborate on the last point, I had several hand-held shots of an eagle, perched in a tree, eating a fish. I wanted to crop so that the eagle's perch remained in exactly the same position from shot to shot despite my hand movement. I located a sharp, recognizable detail on the branch that appeared in the same spot in all images (the centered bird was moving), but the graticule wasn't on it, so shot-to-shot consistency was difficult and time consuming. A grid would have helped, but a portable graticule would have been ideal.
Thanks
Dennis
