Copy Caption/Notes/Keywords/Categories details

If you have a lot of different photos and have set caption, keywords, notes, categories to a number of them
and then wish copy those details to similar -other- photos that have not yet undergone all those settings,
then, right now, you have to copy-paste all the above stuff into the ACDSee database of the uncategorized photos.

It would be great and definitely save a lot of time if one cud simply "copy" (transfer) all those details to a
    selected number of 'uncategorized' photos.

Definitely a great suggestion. Meanwhile, though, I just wanted to mke sure you realized you can set these fields for multiple files at once. So you jus enter the ifno for all the files the first time rather entering it for just one. Even if you have already entered it for just one, when copying it to the other files, you can at least copy to all the rest at once using copy & paste, rather than having to tag your files one at a time.

Still, a simple metadata copy operation would indeed be very nice.

Thanks for feedback. The idea was 'born' so to say when having provided a number of images with notes/captions/keywords, etc.
Then I went on with some other photos on another subject.
After that I came accross some photos that shd be handled in the same way as the first series.
In that case you need to copy-paste nots/keywords, etc.

e.g. you have made photos of your colleagues, go up to another floor, make some photos of colleagues out there, then get back to your dept
and take a few last shots.

In that case you might wish to click on 1 of the first series, RMB, select "Transfer existing database-details" (or so).
In case of people: there is one small drawback - one might have categorized them like people/office/john.
In case of a 'Transfer' - or how it might be named - the category will (optionally?) be transferred as well.
This might need to be updated manually. At least most of the details are transferred and will save a lot of work.

btw: admittedly, in above, simple, example having short a relatively small number of photos, chances are you will apply the notes, keywords
and stuff on mostly identical photos in 1 go.
But it is a differnt ballgame when you are on a long vacation, making hundreds of photos... I guess this transfer idea might be handy.

Hope this idea will be considered.
