Can't open several selected files in external editor...

I use pro3 to view, tag and select files for processing in PS3. Often I select 5-10 files and despite Ctrl-Alt-X nothing happens. It works if I just select one file but it would be really helpful if all the selected ones opened in the external editor. 2.5 does it so why not 3?

I cannot tell you why that is but a work around would be to drag and drop the selected files from Pro 3 into PS3's workspace, this does work.

True OlyPaul but as a working pro to have to select all then restore down the Acdsee screen to drag into PS underneath is work steps that required a single keyboard stroke before... and I thought v3 was meant to speed up workflow! Thanks for your thought though.

When you configure a program as an external editor in ACDSee, there's a checkbox to allow you to specify whether it supports multiple files or not.  Be sure that box is checked when configuring the program.  This is, BTW, the same as it was in 2.5 - I'm not aware of any changes in this respect.  you must have selected that checkbox when your configured PS for 2.5, but not done so for 3.0.
