    Overview

The power of a community resides in its size, diversity and activity. As part of an ACDSee Beta Program, an ACDSee Community Member is encouraged to engage other members and the ACDSee Team in discussions surrounding a products development. The following guidelines are applicable to all ACDSee Community Members participating in an ACDSee Beta Forums.

    Guidelines

    1) Please abide by the main Forum Guidelines and Terms of Use. These ensure a welcoming, civil community.

    2) Please name topics following the naming convention of Mode/Topic. This naming convention will assist the other members and the ACDSee team in following the conversations. For example, if posting an observation about the Online interface inside ACDSee Pro 3 you would name the topic "Online Mode/The speed of upload is accelerating my workflow." or if reporting a bug in Manage Mode, you would name it "Manage Mode/Crash during upload."

    3) Post only one topic per thread. This will aid the ACDSee team and other members in monitoring the conversations and in particular, determining if the topic is new and requires a new thread or if the information can be posted to an existing thread.

    4) Please post to the appropriate sub-forum. The Beta Forums are divided into three sub-forums; a) Features, b) Bugs and c) General Discussion; each having a distinct purpose.

    a) The Features sub-forum is for discussion around features currently in the builds provided and the members' observations as they explore them. This is also the area for members to suggest features they would like to have considered for possible inclusion in future releases of Pro. Please check the rest of the threads in this sub-forum to see if your feature has been mentioned and if not, please start a thread using the naming convention.

    b) The Bugs sub-forum is for the gathering and examination of application issues. Before posting a Bug, please check other threads in this sub-forum and the Beta Release Notes, to ensure it is not a known issue. If a thread already addresses the issue, please feel free to post to the existing thread, ensuring that you give as much detail as you can, providing the steps it took to find the error, information about your computer, other software you were running and anything else relevant. If there is no mention of the issue, please start a thread giving as much detail as you can and using the naming convention.

    c) The General Discussion sub-forum is for the discussion of open-ended questions such as "How is Pro 3 changing your workflow?" and "How would you describe ACDSee Pro 3 to a friend?" In addition, this area is where members can engage other members in wider discussions.

We thank you for your involvement in the ACDSee Beta Program. The Beta Forums will be actively monitored by the ACDSee Team, but, due to sheer volume, not every post can be responded to.
