    Hello!

    First, sorry for my English!

    ---

Step 1. Select some files with extension "tif".
Step 2. Run Batch Processon (Ctrl+Alt+B).
Step 3. Click "Next" button, then select "File format" = "TIFF", then press "Next" button

Okey! All done. Now we have group of batch processed files in desired folder.

BUG: all new created files have wrong extension = "TIFF" (instead "tif").

And one more trouble: if you use windows XP setting "Don't show files extiensions" and put processed files in same folder with originals then you get confuse: 2 files with same filename (and hidden extensions: "tif" and "TIFF"). Just think about this!

Solution: use algorithm: if original file and disired format = tif or TIFF, then use original extension as destination. And not forget about register of extension (ACD always give CAPS "TIFF" instead original "tif/tif/Tif"). Just use original extension and all.

    Thanks!

This bug seems to be still in effect in ACDSee Pro3. I noticed that when preparing photos for the web. I first batch converted some jpegs to .tiff format, because I wanted to apply several different adjustments. Then I used the Batch Edit wizard, and it renamed the images with the extension .TIF, in effect duplicating all files.
