What is a good way to add a Water Mark Batch process? If this is possible, it would shave off about a week's worth of labor to individually water mark about 20,000 images.

It doesn't work. I tried that one already. It won't pickup my presets that I have made for the watermark settings. It also will not allow me to choose the watermark that I want to place to make a preset or even allow me to pick one of many that I have pre-made.

By the way, I posted the last message at 4:31 pm EST, June 1, 2009. Why is it dated 9-hrs into the future?

photomarketingusa,
To add a watermark to a group of images, follow these steps:
Select the group of images you would like to add a watermark to.
Go to Batch->Batch Edit
Select the watermark operation, you can then add custom watermarks by hitting the "Browse" button and selecting the watermark
Finish processing .
You can also save a preset so you don't have to add/reposition your watermark every time you go into the batch processor.
Hope this helps.

It doesn't work for me. I tried all those steps.
However, I found you can click on the box, it sets a check mark. Then you have to click on the word Watermark before it brings up the actual functional list. But, none of my presets are listed as they would be if I was only doing one image at a time. To me, that's a bug because it took a long time to get those presets just right and I prefer not to have to go through that process again when they are already set.

Are you referring to the presets made in edit mode?
The presets made in edit mode are not transferable to the batch edit tool.

they should be. What good is the batch edit for watermark if you can't use the presets set for single image mode?

Right; don't bother clickng the box - it's a wasted step. Just click the word Watermark, and as soon as you actually set up your watermark, it should click the box for you. The box is really there only to make it possible to *unselect* it if necessary.
Although I note that unlike the other tools, this doesn't necessarily work the moment you touch a slider or click a button - it seems you might have to visit the second tab? I've neve used this tool so I don't know the use model, but it does seem there might be a bug here if it's supposed to click the box the moment the tool is actually enabled.

I agree with this and with all general obervation people mak that Batch Edit tools should mimic that results of the individual Edit tools as much as possible.
Although I'd still prefer, ultimately, the rest of the editing tools by made available in develop mode. Do that and you don't need Batch Edit more. At least, not in that form where you needed to duplicate each tool. It would really just be a batch resize with a save as option and an ability to apply some sort of preset or copy settings as is always available with Develop mode.

Where are the water mark presets for single batch reside, including file name? also, where do the water mark batch-edit-presets reside and their file names? I'd like to run a series of experiments with the different presets.
