When I download using ACDSee Pro 2.5, I would like my images automatically dropped into a folder named the date the shot(s) is taken. Is that possible with this software?

Yes, definitely. In the Import dialog, check the "Place in subfolders" box and select "Nested folders - file's date" from the dropdown, then choose a format for the names of the created folders. Note the suggested options in the drop-down involve actually creating a hierarchical structure: YYYY/MM/dd, etc, but you are not forced to use those - you can type in your own. I use yyyy-MM-dd.

Yes but why cant it happen automatically when the card reader is placed into the laptop/computer without having to click on import. As a pro tool I want auto import so I can bang the card in and get the prog to do what previous versions have done and continue shooting...time is money and this is supposed to be a pro tool. Come on Acdsee one more option box is all it takes to click 'import to default file automatically when card is inserted'

Have you got,or started ACDSee Device Detector? Is it running in the Systray?
If you have, it will detect when any media is attached to the computer, and ask you what you wish to do with it.
