I to had problems with the built in FTP. But, I felt I had no time to really struggle with it so I just decided not to use it. If i remember it correctly it didn’t allow me to download to sub directories.

I posted this during the beta and it's still not fixed:

1st... the path should be within the FTP Profile so it opens to that folder each time I connect to that particular profile. I should be able to paste the path in and not be forced to "browse".

2nd... I get an error when trying to browse saying "550 domains/something.com No such file or directory". I gather this is because of permissions but if I could copy/paste the path, I can access the folder I am trying to get to (as I do in my SmartFTP).

3rd... there should be an option to select a CUSTOM max width for resizing.

    4th... SFTP option

I was really looking forward to the FTP option but so far, it's a poor attempt as it is not usable to me.

Mine does. Sounds like a job for CS. You submit a ticket here.

it seems, that i have a similar issuer but i get an error 'failed to open directory'

For a few directories it works fine, but not deeper as 2nd node.

I also get 550 but the rights are equal set for all directories to 775.

I run ACDSee pro 3 under vista 64
