Throughout the time of application ACD 2.5 is the first time that the ACD is not working. He does not start, shows only a window with a warning. Picasa 3 function normally.

Command on the C:\ does not exist. Did re-installation ACD solve the problem?

I had the same problem, but i solved it by open a picture in acdsee via the windows explorer "open with....."

After that i could open acdsee the normal way again.

    Have you tried this, yet?

-> Open regedit, go to HKCU/Software, and delete whole 'ACD Systems' tree

After this, try to start Pro 2.5 again.

I had the same problem, but I solved it, after half a day of trial and error.

The problem started to exist after I had been exporting my database to another location on my hard disk. I pointed 2.5 to keep it from that location.

However, 2.5 told me since then that the database did not exist. So I copied the original database to the new location.

Then 2.5 now was willing to start without errors, but also without any image database. Then I imported the original database from its original location en there it was, up and running again.

Then I changed the location of the database to its original place.

My advice to the software team of ACDSee: since it is possible to use several databases, ACDSee 2.5 should offer a start menu, listing those databases. The user can make a choise then and ACDSee will not crash any more.
