A bug?

Above the central panel, where the thumbnails are displayed, you can find a customizable toolbar.

I have added "filename" and "Image type", so I can quickly switch between both views.

If I click filename, everything is OK, but when I click "Image type", the thumbnails are sorted as "modified date". In fact, if I click default "sort > drop down menu", "modified date" is selected.

Only if I click "sort > drop down menu > image type", thumbnail are sorted the exact way

Is this a bug? Can someone confirm?

    Thanx

    Hi Anthony,

I set my tool bar with the two commands, and do not see what you are are seeing. Both are sorted correctly.

    Hi, Chippy, thanks,

I had to re-configure my customization, and now everything is all right - can't say what happened

  • Anthony,

I think you must have changed the Sort menu after adding "File Type" to the toolbar.

What I've seen before is that if I assign a keystroke to the sort menu what ACDSee actually does is not assign the keystroke to, say, "Modified date" but to the 4th item (or whatever it is) on that menu. If the position of "Modified date" in the Sort menu is then changed (or the columns are moved around in Details view, which has the same effect), the keystroke will still activate the 4th item (whatever that now is) rather than what it was originally set to.

I guessed that this applies to the toolbar as well. I don't have Pro3 available here, but I tested my guess on v2, and sure enough the toolbar button sorted by a different field once I rearranged the items on the Sort menu.
