2 issues with final release

Issue 1 - When going into edit mode with a Nikon NEF file, I select "color" it brings up a palette with 4 tabs (HSL, RGB, color cast and channel mixer). When I do the same with a JPEG or a TIFF I get 3 tabs (color cast, auto color and channel mixer). If I go to "View" mode first, there are buttons of the side to access the HSL and RGB palettes with TIFFs and JPEGs, and they work. It seems that you should be able to access these controls from the edit mode for these file types without having to go through the view mode first.

Issue 2 - I brought this one up back in the beta stage. It is still a problem. When I scan using the TWAIN driver, the scan works fine and saves the image, but then the whole program locks up. I have no choice but to force the software closed with the application manger. When I reopen Acdsee, it's fine again. If I use the WIA driver I have no problems at all, but that only saves as a BTMP.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback. I have a developer investigating issue 1, update soon.

Regarding the scanner problem, we will continue to investigate but I can’t promise we will be able to resolve the issue.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Steve,

I entered the color tab in edit mode with an NEF file, a JPG, and a 48 bit TIFF and the following filters are available:

    HSL
    RGB
    Color Cast
    Auto Color (24-bit JPG only)
    Channel Mixer

The Auto Color filter currently only works with 24 bit images so it won't be available for RAW/48 bit TIFF images.

It sounds like you weren't seeing the HSL tab when entering with a JPG. Did you try scrolling through the filters? There are two arrows on the top left that let you scroll through the tabs that are available. If you enter the filter with RGB selected, for example, it appears as though HSL is missing.

    Hope this helps,

Erin, thanks. I can't believe I didn't see this. It seems odd that no one else pointed this out to me earlier.
