However, I was also able to run through all the images in the folder successfully (in batches), so that would seem to rule out the problem being caused by either Random mode or a particular image or image type (although most are .jpg, there are a few .bmp .gif .png and .wmf images in that folder).</p> <p>So I guess it's down to a combination of factors.</p> <p>(3) I also note that slideshow doesn't handle header or footer text correctly, and wraps the text on to a second line, but doesn't do the same with the background. Normally, I wouldn't mind a new version of a program uninstalling the old version during the install procedure. But seeing all the users with several problems, a separate install would have been advantageous. You can time everything to the second in it. But that's a specialised product and I don't suppose we can expect same kind of funcionality in ACDSee PhotoManager very soon. It is so featureless and boring with poor transitions. Oh and by the way, my video card supports DirectX 9.0c and it shudders for me too.</p> <p>May I suggest that you look at how good the slide show feature in CompuPic Pro and try to imitate it!</p>
