I have it working on snow leopard but it is very limited. No editing or printing. Now in Iphoto I have problem in that files show in thumbs but have gone away when selecting to view, edit or print. What to do? Wait for a version that does these things or pull images back from a backup on another drive, I don't know. I think I'll wait and see what ACDSee does.

I moved a few files around into other folders using ACDSee. I was going to print and found no print option so I went back into Iphoto 8.1 and while the thumbs show fine, if I click on to view or edit or print no photo shows only a gray box with an exclamation mark in Iphoto. I'd like to give up Iphoto but if ACDSee does not print or have an edit function I'll have to wait. Thanks, Bill

I downloaded 1.1 (148) a couple of days ago and at least it now start and opens photos on my snow leopard machine. No print function, no editing, just able to search. When I reopened in Iphoto they will not print now. Be careful.

Seems like development of the Mac-version has been ceased... Nothing´s happening since the Snow Leopard blunder. At least for me, motivation for testing has dropped to zero...

Some months ago, I've posted an issue about migration of the database from Pc to Mac and I am very disappointed that nothing as been told, written about this issue! what happening here?! Because the work I already have in pc won't let me go to Mac until I have this issue solved! "At least for me, motivation for testing has dropped to zero..." I say the same :(

I am running ACDSee 10 Photo Manager on a VMware Fusion session on my MacBook Pro. I have not organized my new files since the beta release, waiting to find out if conversion is going to be available and it is crippling my workflow! I don't want to do all of the organizing just to find out there is no conversion and I have to start from scratch. If I knew there was going to be a conversion, I'd start organizing now. I can't go on like this much longer!

Hola,

I just got today an installation CD for the windows version of acdseepro2.5. Can I use/transfer this license for the MAC version so it doesn't expire in February? I just bought it, so I would not want to waste this one.

I was a former user of ACDSee Pro and was interested to see there was a Beta for the MAC. I am going to try it and see how I like it compared to the current MAC offerings. I know this is looking pretty far into the future, but will there be an upgrade path from the PC to the MAC version?

Ditto on the Snow Leopard problem. It will not run. I get the "spinning beach ball" and, in fact had to force it to quit before shutting down the system.

Will we be notified when a version that is compatible with 10.6?

I'm seeing exactly the same problem with my Lghtroom (2.5) installation fyi. The application becomes "not responding" nad I have to kill it. I *DO* see it in a process view (in terminal do a 'ps -aux | grep Lightroom') and it's not chewing cpu time. I tried removing all the plugins,.. no joy.

Melanie,

Thanks, I've just downloaded and installed the Beta from your link. I suppose there is progress of sorts. I do now see a browser, and I can navigate to my photo folders.

However, right clicking on one particular JPEG froze ACDSee, requiring a Force Quit, which I tried twice and saw the same behavior.

Double clicking a Canon 40D sRAW file brought up Adobe Photoshop, however no file was opened.

I was able to use the Batch convert to convert some Canon G10 RAW files to JPEG. However, where do I access the RAW converter settings?

Perhaps I am missing some major portion of the user interface, but how do I access EXIF data, assign keywords and captions, make global edits, adjust RAW parameters, import/copy/backup images, etc? This version seems little more than a re-branded Finder at first glance. I don't see a Help system, except for menu help. What am I missing?

Thanks again for posting the link.
